I like the reason made by Christina Nichole about why she choose portrait as her field of photography. And i think it might be our guidelines when choosing portrait as a photography

I am a photographer in love with showing individuals their own unique beauty captured in film. I enjoy nothing more than a portrait session with young people, getting to know who they are, and capturing their personality.

So many teenagers feel that they are not “photogenic” and do not like photo’s of themselves. After a portrait session with me, my clients don’t have excuse to say such words again.

I take portraits because…
I want people to see themselves as strong and beautiful individuals.
I believe that everyone is “photogenic”.
I want a person’s experience with a photographer to be real, genuine, and a time to express who they are.
I believe that everyone should know what it feels like to celebrate who you are.
